  2. The automated call distribution system (ACD) will connect you with an available interpreter.

  3. When the interpreter answers, tell them:

    • You are calling from ...
    • Your 4-digit customer code is: xxxx
    • Your name is …..

  4. Ask the interpreter the questions you want to ask your Limited English Speaker. The interpreter will ask the questions and give you the answers.

  5. Keep your questions short and pointed to make sure you get the answers you require. If you need help in this procedure, don't hesitate to ask the interpreter, who has been through this thousands of times before and will help you.
